For this mother's day weekend, my cousin and I brought our moms on Saturday because we wanted to beat the Sunday crowd. When we arrived, there was a long line, but my cousin already paid so we got in quick. I usually love Lin's, but I can't find it in my heart to support a restaurant that underpaid 32 workers for about three years and stole their wage and livelihood, but I was excited to try Golden Harbor Buffet. I like that it was a very open area and the food was easy to find. However, they put the best stations in the back, the noodle station and the teppanyaki station. Everything was pretty good. My mom sucked the crap out of those snails. I loved the mussels, clams and fried prawns and crab legs. However, thumbs down for crawfish, it was a little bland. Wish we had secret sauce in our purse. The cotton candy and crepe station was neat, they do a white cotton candy and an icecream crepe. I wanted fruit in my crepe, but they didn't have strawberries or blueberries so I just gave the crepe to my nephew. Overall, mom,aunt and grandma enjoyed their mother's day lunch and I am hoping to bring my husband back! Ambiance was nice, even though they had a line around the building, they still had plenty of tables!

I am surprised and glad this business remains open even after Covid. I remember dining here when they just opened. It was one of the nicer eat all you can Chinese restaurants here in Fresno/Clovis. The restaurant is very spacious and has rooms to accommodate private parties. There are plenty of choices and food served taste similar with other eat all you can Chinese restaurant that came and went in Fresno/Clovis. Will return definitely because the food is good and it brings back happy memories with family and friends in my younger days.

This review is based on a 100+ attendee lunch event on 1/19/24. Service: We were situated in their biggest private room. Tracking was efficient however we did have someone by reception to make sure we were not allowing others. There were approximately 10-12 round tables that had 10 or so chairs per table. Typical buffet where they take your drink order and then you can venture off to the buffett soon after. The staff was attentive and fast. 5 out of 5 stars! Food: I don't have high expectations or care much anymore for buffets. Nearly all the places I have been to in Fresno/Clovis have either shut down or just took a nose dive with their quality. Golden Harbor has your typical fried foods, chinese inspired foods, soups you would normally see at a buffet along with fresh fruits, desserts and a fondue fountain. I heard that there may be a teppan grill option but didn't experience this - probably during dinner. Suprisingly, they had a sushi row with different options from pieced sushi rolls to nigiris. I can honestly say the food was not bad. I even waited if I was gonna feel something in the gut - minutes, hours, a day later - nada! This is coming from someone who has a very sensitive stomach. 4 of 5 stars Overall: Never heard of this place and it was my first visit ever after living in Fresno for over 25 years. Probably because it's a good 25-30 mins from where I live or I simply just don't seek out buffets anymore. This was a lunch experience on a Friday so I assume dinner time or a weekend may be more chaotic or less favorable but based on this experience alone, they did well.

This was the first place we visited in the new year. It was New Year's Day and we were out looking to see what was open and Golden Harbor was one of the few places that were. We were happy about that so we decided to give it a try. The buffet is in a shared lot with plenty of parking so it shouldn't be an issue. When we walked in we were warmly greeted. Why caught my eye was how nice it looked all decorated for Christmas and then I realized how big it was inside. While waiting in line to pay I heard a man order hot tea so when it was our turn I ordered that. Since I was set on eating one of everything I knew tea was the way to go lol! Soothes the stomach, at least I think it does. Anyway! We walked in and were seated on the soup station side. There are so many options! You can create your own noodle stir fry, ramen or enjoy the 3 ready made soups they have like miso and egg drop. They have anything you would normally order at an American Chinese restaurant. I'm talking potstickers, crab Rangoon, butterfly shrimp, coconut shrimp, salmon, chow mein, dim sum, dumplings. Then also sushi, salad bar and crab legs. There is also a dessert station where they have someone making crepes and cotton candy. We tried some of everything but I got a plate of Rangoon cuz they're my favorite and normally at a take-out place I can only afford an order of 3. Here I can have a whole plate of them! They're really good here too. So if you're looking for a good buffet on the north side of town, this is it. Look at the pics and give it a try. Every time we've been since then (2 more times), it's been fresh food and lots of customers. That's how you know it's good!

This place is very pretty and they have peaceful music playing. The lighting is nice and soothing. It is reasonably priced for the variety of food they offer. The sushi was super fresh too. The desert was a bit lacking but that's just because I have major sweet tooth. Only thing I would say is that some of the staff is not very attentive.
